I'm constantly dying here. I just cant seem to take him out. With some help of vampiric touch I can get him to 25% of his health, but other than that its no use... plz tell me how I can kill this guy.

With my ranger, I decked half my skill slots with nature rituals. He spent 20 seconds casting all of those, giving me plenty of time to just split him open with Apply Poison/Power Shot/Penetrating Shot/Dual Shot. Beat him before he got the last nature ritual up.

although this has be resolved I'm going to add another route you can take incase others read this thread looking for help.
I was a R/Mo I took strictly, whirling defense and several BOW attack skills. soon as the match starts throw up whirling defense and run straight at him and once you're toe to toe he'll switch to an axe and you'll be free to use your bow attack skills to pound him into the ground while he wiffs at you. If you have your skill points allocated to do damage and increase the length of whirling defense and a good bow you're going to have him killed shortly after whirling defense wears off.
pretty simple and hard to screw up. should be able to get that bonus.

Necros have it insanely easy. Just did it with mine a few days ago.
Grab:
Defile Flesh, Enfeebling Blood, and Order of the Vampire
Bring no healing, and you'll have a jump start on him, as he sacrafices most of his health away.
Don't bring anything that'll heal and pick some damaging skills to make up the rest of it. If you're lucky, he'll use Order of the Vampire again immediately after.
Pack on the marksmanship, and shoot him to death, no skills needed. Fill up the last 5 slots with Nature Rituals.
He'll almost kill himself for you, and also waste a lot of time making the rituals. Doesn't get much easier than that.

Using the first strategy, bring along distracting shot as well. He'll cast the rituals, give him maybe 3 seconds to cast it, then interupt, and do that will all of his preps. Then we will try to recast them when the timer is up.

note that ALL those tactics doesn't work anymore; now u have to fight an overpowered dopplenganger, who has better armor than you, an eternal bow and a chaos axe, he's several times faster than you and deals the hell high damage. The only thing that still remains is that he uses the same skills as you do, but (as i've read somewhere) he has all his attributes at 15.
I went today to ascend my lvl 18 N/R and he killed me 5 times, everyone in less than 10 seconds, tried different skill combinations, different armors, but still the same results... i also believe that he uses some "other" skills u dont have, all the times it was too fast to see the skills he was using, but i can say i never seen those skill animations while playing my necro.
To all this, add a non perfect internet connection and a non top line computer and this battle becomes impossible to win
PS: ahh i forgot.... the dopplenganger is level 20, no matter whats your level when u go face him.
PS2: while i was doing 10-32 damage to the dopplenganger, it was doing 24-118 damage per hit to me, without using any skills, just normal arrow hits, the average damage was going around 60 damage per hit.
